Glen1980 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Do you mean like this? The number with the shade is an attribute that updates when I stretch the lintel with the dynamic stretch. I created that this morning from the link below. You do need to REGEN your drawing after you stretch the block whcih is a slight pain but still quicker. http://www.cad-addict.com/2009/01/autocad-using-fields-in-dynamic-blocks.html Quote
qball Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I'm thinking that you're trying to say, have a block that is 100 units long, but the Linear Parameter is only 80 units long but you want the list to read "100"? Not that I know of. Can you post it? Quote
CadFrank Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 Well i dont actually want the text to stay but i want to know if i can put numbers so when i stretch i know how long im stretching to Quote
CadFrank Posted July 27, 2011 Author Posted July 27, 2011 here it is so the line are the one that appear when you do your stretch. i want to see numbers for each stretch so i kno where im stopping Quote
qball Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I've also done this where I put a dimension in Defpoints or a NonPlot layer and include it in the stretch action. It does stay visible on the block at all times though, so it's a grey colour so it doesn't look too cluttered. Quote
qball Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 You could put a NonPlot piece of text in at the tick mark locations. But they will always be visible. And with Dynamic Input on you can just type in the length you want after you grab the Stretch Grip. Quote
