Hello again today I have a question about Dynamic Blocks. I am fairly new to dynamic blockcreation so feel free to inform me if I am doing this the wrong way.

Basically I have a rectangle and want to change the dimensions of it. There are a couple of attributed definitions that I want to stretch the and change it length but I alsowant the attributed definitions to move with the right hand side of the rectangle and the stay a constant distance from the right hand side. Unfortunately when I use the stretch action it filters out the attributed from the object that I can stretch does anyone know if there is a way to include these AD’s with the stretch action

Thanks

have you LOCKED the attribute? If you haven't locked it, it won't move. (Sounds wrong I know.)

If you have locked it can you save down a 2007 version and post the plock here.

In desperation i found out by experimenting with all the options that you have to LOCK an attribute to move it. I had avoided clicking on this because it sounded like the opposite to what i was trying to do but decided to give it go.

I can confirm that "dbroada" was correct even though is seems wrong.

Thanks for the help even though i figured it out before you responded I'm sure this will help many people with the same problem in the future

In my head I think of locking it as KNOWING the location. Without the lock you can drag the attribute to anywhere, with the lock you can move it but AutoCAD still knows where it is. A sort of "lock on target". At least that works for me. :)
