What is a P.A.C.?

I have a line on a site drawing marked with 4" P.A.C. LINE and 2"P.A.C. LINE.

It goes nowhere and ends nowhere.

Any WAG what is in these lines?

Typo for "P.V.C" maybe...? :P

I've heard of A.C. (Asbestos Cement) pipes before, but not P.A.C. pipe, sorry.

Some sort of conduit...? Plated Aluminum Conduit? Premium Asbestos Conduit? Potentially Antagonistic Conduit? :)

This is a good reminder of why abbreviations should always be listed in the legend...

P.V.C. is clearly marked already on the drawing and with a layer. Being I see no connections (that doesn't mean much though) I was thinking Asbestos Cement, but the P is throwing me off and I'm not sure if 2" was an option. It runs alon with a potable water line and a raw water line.

I have yet to find a drawing with the irrigation system on it and now the maintenance supervisor says he thinks the contractors hand dug a small shallow trench for the buried fiber optic and best he can tell didn't follow the layouts, at least I have start and end points for that. :ouch:

Portable air conditioner?

There are 182 acronyms in this list for P.A.C...take your pick:

http://www.acronymfinder.com/PAC.html

Looking at that page best I see is Powdered Activated Carbon (water treatment), but that should have been a line type. He does have the raw water labeled as 24" Raw Water and no linetype.

Thanks for the input, I may just have to walk the site.

Thanks for all the insight. I got job security now for a couple years.

Why would you simply not ring up on the phone whoever the engineer for the plan was?
