css Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I have just installed AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 on a Windows 7 box and have a couple of issues I can't resolve. First, how do you disable the InfoCenter? I have tried several things with no luck. Second, opening a DWG file over the network seems very slow, what could cause this? We are moving from AutoCad Map 3D 2010 to 2012 and for the moment the we a running AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 in "Try Me". Thanks Quote
Murph_map Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Make sure the support paths for any thing in that dwg is listed in the support paths for the options, if you have FDO features from SDF,SHP,Oracle, SQL etc. they need to path correct as well same with plotter/printers that may be listed in the page setup for those dwg. . The first time you open Map3D 2012 after a reboot or start up it does take a little longer to open, but after that it will be quicker. As for the info center in 2012 I have no idea, I thought Autodesk replaced that with something else in 2012. Quote
css Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 I'm calling it the InfoCenter, but it is the toolbar in the upper right with Search, Communication Center, and Favorites Quote
css Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 Update: Solved the slow opening files by moving to a Gigabit switch, but no luck with InfoCenter. Quote
