cabaq Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hello! I'm trying to figure out a way to do the following: I have several drawing files in DWG. Each DWG has a block placed in a drawing sheet. The block contains attributes which would like to link to an Excel file. Then if I update the attribute in the drawings this would change the linked attribute in the Excel file, and vice versa. Note that there are several drawings which I would like to handle in a single Excel file. Any ideas? Thanks! Quote
BIGAL Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 This has been discussed lots of times before start a search with "Excel" it may take a few go's to find the answer but it is there. As its your first post I suggest search first then post if you can not find an answer. You will get a lot more support from regulars here if they see your trying first. Quote
cabaq Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 Hello and thank you for your reply. This is the kind of answer I expected to get. I've already done some searches on the topic, but couldn't find any good match. I guess I'll have to search harder. The thing you have to keep in mind is that technology evolves, new versions and methods continiously come out, which renders the old methods obsolete. If everyone was to search the forum for their answers, no one would end up using the latest methods. Quote
