Darren Lingard
Is it possible to apply a material finish to the surface of a part. For example if I create a round Boss which requires a knurled finish to the cylindrical surface, how can I apply the material finish to the selected surface only? Bishop
You can cheat some on this one ... right-click on the feature, select Properties, then pick your color style there. It's a pulldown menu. It won't change the material that you've applied, but it will change the color style just for that feature. Alternatively, you can pick just one face (or a group of faces), then right click on them, and do the same from the Properties menu. However, be careful that you only select faces: if you pick any edges, planes, or anything other than faces, you won't get Properties as an option in the right-click menu. JD Mather
Yes. You can apply by part, by body, by feature or by face. To apply to a single face simply right click and select Properties - you can figure it out from there.
