missing workspaces & ribbons after installing AutoCAD 2012

Hi, I have just installed AutoCAD Design Suite 2012 on to a new PC, and now only have an 'Alias' workspace and nothing else. As a result I have no ribbon panels (only Sketchbook Designer) and cannot work out what to do. I had this problem when I initially installed in on a previous PC earlier this year, and called the technical support who I purchased the software from and we sorted it out. It was quite a quick process however I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. I have read many other threads to do with this matter but non have hit the nail on the head, the option to choose any other workspace other than 'Alias' isn't there.

If someone could help me with this is it would be most appreciated, nearly wasted a whole day now trying to resolve it with no joy.

Thanks

Have you found a solution to this issue? I am having the same problem - do not have access to the standard AcadM workspace & ribbon. Thanks!

You do have a command line right?

My Ribbon was missing when I last upgraded. Based on some advice I found online somewhere I went into CUI, clicked on current Workspace in top left panel, and then to customise it in top right panel.

Make a small change, then revert back to original Workspace setup. When I "Applied" and closed out of CUI the ribbon was restored.

Could have tried resetting the default Profile too.
