tennis4you Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Is there a way to set up batch plot so it saves the files on it's own? Right now I have to wait for the box with the name to pop up and then I hit OK and then have to wait for each file like that? I found a setting and changed it from "Prompt for name" and changed it to "Specify Name" but that did not do the trick. I am using CutePDF if it matters. Thanks! Quote
DANIEL Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 i don't know about cute pdf but i have adobe set up to automatically save the pdf into a specific folder with out any prompts, to do that you'll need to go to the printer properties and add a port, once you've you done that you can go to your adobe acrobat, then go to the advanced pull down menu and select acrobat distiller, then go to the file pull down and select preferences. uncheck those output options and there ya go ........ BIGAL Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 Tennis4you the probelm is that the control of plotting is transferred to cutepdf which asks for a filename but as its now independant of Autocad does not happen there may be some ARx way around this. If you use Dwg to pdf autocads you can transfer a filename etc only probelm I found was quality dropped off For me its still a works in progress search here, yeah lots of pdf stuff but the lisp code is there I just plot all layout tabs one go its easier to delete the ones you dont want. if you cant find post again Quote
tennis4you Posted November 9, 2011 Author Posted November 9, 2011 AutoDesk TrueView will fix that. No luck yet. And not sure what post quoted above is referring to. What does it fix? I assume someone's comment above other than mine? Quote
cadvision Posted November 9, 2011 Posted November 9, 2011 RxHighlight from Rasterex www.rasterex.com has batch plot & conversion. Also check out www.multi-batch.com/ great little tool Quote
tennis4you Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 RxHighlight from Rasterex www.rasterex.com has batch plot & conversion. Also check out www.multi-batch.com/ great little tool I downloaded multi-batch. can't figure it out yet but I will play with it. It has jacked up my AutoCAD though. I can no longer open more than one drawing at a time. If I click the open button it asks me if I want to save the current drawing I am in! What the heck has it done? I hope it has not done anything else! Ahhh! Quote
SLW210 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 It has reset your SDI value. 0 Turns on multiple-drawing interface.1 Turns off multiple-drawing interface. 2 (Read-only) Multiple-drawing interface is disabled because AutoCAD has loaded an application that does not support multiple drawings. SDI setting 2 is not saved. 3 (Read-only) Multiple-drawing interface is disabled because the user has set SDI to 1 and AutoCAD has loaded an application that does not support multiple drawings. (SDI was set to 1 before the application was loaded.) SDI setting 3 is not saved. If SDI is set to 3, AutoCAD switches it back to 1 when the application that doesn't support multiple drawings is unloaded. Quote
tzframpton Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Get rid of CutePDF. That's the problem. Use the "DWG to PDF.pc3" plotter instead. Quote
