Jon McElwain Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I've got most of my most commonly used keyboard commands changed to simplified versions that suit me, however, I have not figured out how to change the snap commands. I still type "nea" and "per" to snap to nearest and perpendicular. How do I change these? Also, how do you change the F keys? Quote
alanjt Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 The osnap overrides cannot be given an alias. I suggest using the Control+right-click or Shift+right-click osnap menu or programming the F* keys. You can customize the F* keys by editing/adding to the Accelerator Keys in the CUI or create your own .MNU file and load with menuload. Here is a portion of my accelerator keys from my MNU file: ***MENUGROUP=AlanThompson ***TOOLBARS ***ACCELERATORS ["F1"]^C^CEXCHPROP ["F4"]'TG ["F5"]^C^CPEDIT _M ["F6"]_M2P ["F7"]'MATH [CONTROL+"Z"]'_zoom _p [CONTROL+"A"]'as Another advantage to using an MNU file is, if autocad finds an MNL file with the same name, it will load that (acts as LSP file) which you can use as your startup LSP file to load settings and other LISP routines. eg. (mine) AlanThompson.MNL AlanThompson.MNU Quote

S-8-N Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 I was following this link from rKent http://lynn.blogs.com/lynn_allens_bl...st_autoca.html When I tried it and was entering just F1 it was entering it as Shift+F1, which would not help if your a "bad shot" as the linked author implys because you don't hold the Shift key down while going to hit the ESC key. I was trying to say that the link would be a great thing to have but it wasn't working correctly for me. Quote
