harald72 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I'm using AutoCad 2010. I've got some drawings emailed to me and when I open the layout files, the xref drawings are missing. The only thing visible is a small text with the path and the name to the xref. When I try to attach them again the same thing happens, only the text is visible. Does anyone know how to solve this? RobDraw Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 There are quite a few people here that can solve this. And now a few of questions for you. Do you have the files that are being XREFd? Is the path you see the location where they are stored? If you put them in the same folder as the drawing, do they show up? Quote
sparkyuk Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 They have not used etransmit to send you their files, you need to ask them to send the xrefs to you as well ,or to bind them before sending you the drawing Quote
DANIEL Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 the reference is broken, you will need to either have them send you a bound file or the base files your missing so that you can reattach them. Quote
SLW210 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I renamed your thread to something more descriptive and moved it to the AutoCAD Drawing Management & Output Forum. Quote
