woohhoo Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Hi guys, Does anyone know how the fix the little buttons (icons) on the toolpalette(s)? Sometimes, by mistake, I drag an (or many) icon(s) to another place and it's very anoying! I work with autocad 2010. Thx. Quote
Cadologist Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 If you 'right-click' on the palette itself, select 'View Options' then in there, is a slider to adjust the 'size' of the icons that are contained within that tool palette (by default) or you can select it to apply your new settings to 'all palettes'. Hope this helps...... Quote

ReMark Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 It sounds more like you need to make an adjustment to your mouse. In all the time I've used AutoCAD toolbars and tool palettes I've never inadvertently dragged many or even any icons off. Maybe it's the onset of old age. Quote
ReMark Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I think the only way you could lock down your tool palettes would be to make the folder your palettes reside in "read-only". This should prevent you from rearranging the tools on the palette and control its appearance. I have not tested this theory but you can certainly do so then report back here with your findings. Do you know how to locate the folder your tool palettes are stored in? Quote

Still possible to drag and drop. Quote
ReMark Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Did you close then reopen AutoCAD? BTW...I tried to replicate your problem on my system. I had to deliberately click...then hold...to be able to move an icon off a tool palette. Like I said initially maybe you have to adjust a mouse setting. This sounds more like a case of O.I.E. (Operator Induced Error)! Quote
