backinblack Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Win 7 / 64b, 4GB, 3.2GHz, Quadro 600. Autocad 2008. (Yes, I know it's not supposed to run here ) Anyway, I can't seem to be able to type anything in text or mtext windows. I either have my keyboard input ignored completely, or I get blank spaces, depending on what font I choose. Disabling the Aero themes don't help. All runs fine in a XP virtual machine, but more slowly. Any other thoughts? Quote
SLW210 Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Did you try running a repair? Sounds like the Internal text editor is not functioning. Does it work if you set Notepad as the text editor? How long ago did this start? Quote
rkent Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 Is the layer on and thawed? Set UCS to World and Plan to World, try it then. Give more details or attach a drawing that exhibits this behavior. Quote
backinblack Posted December 14, 2011 Author Posted December 14, 2011 Notepad is currently the default text editor. No layers frozen or locked. UCS and Plan are both world. Can't remember when it started, I believe it was early last week. I will try running a repair as soon as I get a chance. Some fonts display as blank spaces, whereas other font choices don't advance the cursor like I wasn't typing anything. Quote
