Hi,

I have problem with 3 users from about 75. When using the publish command inAutocad 2010 (1 user) and Civil 3d 2010 (2 users) a temporary copy of the drawing is opened while the particular layout is being published but on completion this temporary copy of the drawing is not being closed. This is leading to problems when a user has lets say 5 drawings open that require publishing. When finished the user has 2 copies of each drawing open and sometimes my select the wrong drawing when making further changes.

Any ideas?

I have tried a repair on Autcad but that did not work. I will try a complete new install if no other solution can be found.

thanks

ok i have isolated the problem to the acaddoc.lsp file

which works seemingly without any problems until the publishing command comes in to play....hmmm

The problem appears now only with the AutoCAD users. I renamed the acaddoc.lsp temporarily and then the publishing command works as it should

What is in the acaddoc.lsp? Sounds like the user has made some modifications.

I am having a similar problem with my installation of AutoCAS 2010.

Yesterday I began having some major issues with autocad and it has forced me to start using a different machine in the office.

The specific problem I'm having with PUBLISH is that for each drawing the publish facility opens to print...it does not close, just opens the next drawing. So when the PUBLISH is complete..every drawing printed is still open.

I can 'publish in background' with no issue. But I see this as a work-around rather than a solution. I'm gunna start another thread relating to my other problems, hopefully I don't have to take any drastic action.

Thanks for any help.
