rock1 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 i started using autocad 2010 in my newly joined office. on using the di command from the inquiry, toolbar a drop down menu appears. after i have selected two points between whom the distance has to be mesured , i have to select an option [as seen in the screenshot]. is there any way to expand the inquiry toolbar just like it used to be in the extended form in version 2009 and older?? Tiger Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I was trying to replicate your problem and I think that you are used to the DIST command, which has no more options after you have selected your two points, is that correct? When you use the Distance-option under the Inquiry-menu the command that starts is MEASUREGEOM which behaves differently. Perhaps you can go into CUI and change that to the DIST command if you want to continue use the button, or start typing DIST (I have programmed D to Dist-command) instead. Quote
rock1 Posted January 3, 2012 Author Posted January 3, 2012 isnt there an option to arrange buttons visible permanently, that drop down on clicking that ruler button. ?? this can solve my problem also. i.e. to say these buttons will arrange themselves horizontally permanently. so i can see all of them all the time unlike i see them as a drop down menu. Tiger Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 If you use Ribbon the button will automatically change to the last drop-down-choice you made. For toolbars I think you can go into CUI (command CUI) and change the button that is on the toolbar (the collection-button) to the actual button that you want. I don't use Toolbars (Ribbon + commandline typing is my way) so I have lost what little I knew about Toolbar-manipulation. Quote
