Reference items 'clipped'

When placing view of an assembly on a drawing with BOM structure for some parts set to REFERENCE (ie parts are opaque), how can I make Inventor still show the REFERENCE items complete to extremities when they are on the periphery of the viewed assembly. Inventor either does not show the items or 'clips' them to show only part, and I would prefer all of the item/s still to be shown.
