Overlapping dimension lines

Is it possible for AutoCAD to notify you if you have overlapping dimensions.

Not that I know of, unless you write some lisp code. However, using "Continue" from the gitgo will easier avoid this issue. (At least until somebody modifies the drawing)

sometimes when i use the continue it starts from the wrong side of the starting dimension.

Continue will always start on the 2nd point you specified on the dimension you select to continue from.

Normally, I try to dimension always in the same direction as a standard practice, ie. left to right, or clockwise. That way I pretty much know which way continue will work without having to right clock and pick a side.
