rsimome Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Hello all, Does anyone know of an AutoCAD code that will prevent an elevation from being inserted in a drawing for each and every shot taken in the field. I vaguely remember hearing about a "." (dot) code that can be used. A node is inserted and a line is still drawn through the point if a "Z" code is being used. I would be grateful if anyone could help. Quote
eldon Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 As I am unaware of a vanilla AutoCAD function that inserts survey points into a drawing, perhaps you could reveal the method that you are using. If you are doing it manually, then only use the plan coordinates. If you are drawing a polyline, then set the first point at the z required (perhaps zero) and the rest of the polyline will stay at that elevation. Quote
