I created my own dim style and it worked for a month or so. But now it doesn't work. It doesn't use tick marks, shows no text, etc. I tried to reset it to use the style I setup but it doesn't (but it says that its using the correct style). Any thoughts? (p.s. I'm using the Mac version of AutoCAD).

I love Macs, but have not done autocad on one. I would suggest that you create a new dimstyle, starting with your old one. All you have to do is change the name in order to create a new one. Set your new dimstyle current, then try using it and see what you get.

Have you been through the dimstyle manager dialog to check that all of the settings which define your dimstyle are still the same? And that your preferred dimstyle is current? Sorry, I'm sure you have, but there is nothing to be gained by not confirming that.

Where are you creating your dimensions, modelspace or paperspace?

Thanks. I made a new dimstyle; set it to current and it worked.
