LEO G Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I have multiple closed areas that i want to show the sq ft. Now i use the command multileader then click to insert a feild. Select object then area. Now i have a leader with text. Can i extract the text to a table or spreadsheet. Or approch this differently. I use autocad lt 12 Quote
Dadgad Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I have not used Autocad Lt, but you can do it in Autocad Vanilla with the DATA EXTRACTION tool. In your tools drop down menu click on DATA EXTRACTION, or type DATAEXTRACTION in the commandline > ENTER. This will open the data extraction wizard, where you will be guided through a great many options defining your goal. There are lots or right click shortcut options available, so remember to explore those at each step. The last page of the setup wizard will ask you if you want to insert the data extracted as a table in your drawing, or it can be exported in various formats. Quote
