Is there a way to use the stretch command like this?

First I select the object. type stretch, when i make my selection window the stretch points of only that object get selected and not of other polylines which are inside my selection box.

After selection, press and pick the items you want removed from selection set. This works for any command that require a selection set.

- Depending on the complexity of the object, perhaps use it's grips for stretching, rather than the STRETCH command.

- Use a Crossing Polygon, rather than a Crossing Window to create the selection.

- Isolate the object before issuing the STRETCH command, and/or lock/freeze the layers of the other objects you don't want to modify prior to using STRETCH.

I forget if 2009 has selection cycling or not, but if it does, it is very helpful in such situations. In OPTIONS go to your SELECTION tab and see if selection cycling is available. If so, turn it on and try it.
