jgbgod Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I've got a 3d model and I'm creating ortho views by using the solid profile command. Which is nothing out of the normal, but the projection lines comming off my 2d image is. Is there any way to get rid of the projection lines? Quote
SLW210 Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I been working. How did you get it worked out? Quote
jgbgod Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 I ended up having to delete the block created from the solidprofile, then start over. Kind of a pain in the ass to be honest, one of our contract standards is that anything being furnished and installed has to show up as red when plotted, and anything being removed has to be yellow. Wich means I have to explode the block and go in manually and change each line. Time consuming. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You can change color by viewport, would that help. Can you show some before and after? Quote
jgbgod Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 I'm not able to present any drawing that I produce. Basically, we've got conduit running up into a farday cage inside a communications room. I was generating a simple 3d model for locality of the network megaframes and the cable managment system. Picture having an 2d isometric view of a 3d model, exploding the 2d block created from solidprofile command, and going in and selecting every line to change the color. If there is an easier way, let me know. However, I don't think there is. Quote
ReMark Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I can't think of a method/command that would give you the degree of control over line color, linetype, etc. you desire when producing 2D views from 3D objects. Quote
