Hi
We are working in Autocad lt 2012 and in one particular drawing we can't stop the slash (/) from turning into a fraction line . IE the date 08/02 becomes a fraction 8 over 2. Its very frustrating :x!!!!!!!!!!
Help!!!!!!

While in MText editor, select that troublemaker formatting and chouse Options --> Stack Properties --> Autostack... There you may disable Enable AutoStacking option.

Then remove the checkmark where it says "Enable autostacking". Return to your text delete and retype the date.

Hi Thanks but I can't see troublemaker formatting in mtext editing or any options for autostacking. I am I looking in the right place?

Did you highlight the offending text and right-click?

We have highlighted the text:
32795
But have no options relating to stack/autostack etc. Although it seems to be on one computor only. Others have the option to stack/unstack. The stack button in the text editing box also does not work ie is greyed out.

Try highlighting the fraction and do not include the < / > slash.

Glad to hear it finally worked.
I too had some problems with the feature (stack/unstack) after purposely duplicating your situation so it wasn't until I experimented that I discovered a way to fix it.
You're entirely welcomed. :)

Oops! Sorry, what I wanted to say by "troublemaker formatting" was "the stacked texts that cause you troubles".
Anyway, what’s important is that you got your issues solved with ReMark's help.

I am for changing the toolbar to read "Troublemaker Formatting".
There used to be a way to set up Autostack to only do it if there was a leading space or other special character someplace, probably before or after the "/". I can't seem to find anything about it in my 2009 version. I was able in 2007 version to get 2 /3 to stack as 2/3 and 02/08/2012 to not stack.
