nicolas Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Hi, I am having some issues with sheetset. The pdf name is name of the drawing + name of layout. 1. The sheet sets do not follow the order of the drawings layouts 2. The list is not according to the drawings order in the directory 3. The sheets are automatically combined when I want them to be separate 4. There are numbers 1,2,3... automatically prefixed to the sheet causing additional trouble. Can anybody help me on this, pelase? Regards, Nicolas. Quote
Dana W Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 You can change the order of the sheets in the sheet list simply by drag & drop. You can rename the sheets, also. The automatic numbers are indicative of the print order. They can be renumbered. You can add or delete sheets from the sheet list. What do you mean by "Automatically combined"? Perhaps you are seeing that the sheet set manager concatonates new sheets onto the current list. You need to tell it "NEW" someplace, I think. The sheet set function will generate the sheet list by order of create date/time. If you have added or deleted layouts in between others, the resulting sheet list will be out of order and must be manipulated. The layout tab name is simply a string, the sheet set manager does not read it for sorting, it simply copies it. I don't have AutoCad with sheet set functionality handy at the moment. You will have to make use of the F1 key to help sort this out. Quote
nicolas Posted February 23, 2012 Author Posted February 23, 2012 Thanks for your reply. I know about drag and drop the different sheet to a new order. However there are 200 drawings containing each 2 layouts. The layouts are well-ordered in each drawing, making a total of 400 sheets. That's the reason behind using Sheet Set for PDF printing instead of manually applying page layout and publishing. So far great, but If I can but find a way to have the sheets listed as per layout order will be just great. I have seen the the option for single-sheet and multiple-sheet in the publishing options and, also I don't know how the numbers have gone when I deleted all the sheets and re-import them and as far as the drawings names are concerned, they are in the right order except for the two layouts being in the wrong order. Example: Drawing1 Layout 1 Layout 2 Drawing 2 Layout 1 Layout 2 Drawing 3 Layout 1 Layout 2 The drawings are now in good order. But layout 2 appears before layout 1 in each and every cases. tzframpton Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Why two Layouts per Sheet File? That's a big no-no in Sheet Set Manager as it's counter productive and not what Sheet Sets were intended to be used. Not trying to bash, just curious is all. I'm guessing a smaller sheet of the Sheet File? Quote
