addesigns Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 I just ran into this problem. I pick something and type "pr" to change properties, and it says in the properties window that nothing is selected even though something is selected. How do I fix this? Is there a system variable that needs to be changed? Quote
ReMark Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Is the system variable PICKFIRST set to 1? Quote
addesigns Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 I just saved and shut down and started back up. This fixed the problem. I tried typing LIST to see what I did but, that would not even come up no matter how many times I hit ESC Quote
ReMark Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 The LIST command prompts you to select objects. Not sure why you would run that. To see what you did hit the F2 key which will bring up the Text window and you can scroll back through the commands you used. Quote
addesigns Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Oh, I found that LIST does the same thing. Brings up the text window and I just scroll up to see what I did Quote
SLW210 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Oh, I found that LIST does the same thing. Brings up the text window and I just scroll up to see what I did No, LIST prompts you to select an object, then it opens the text window, with the properties of the object you selected. F2 just brings the text window up. The history of what you did in the drawing file is reset whenever you close and reopen your drawing. Quote
addesigns Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 Not sure what you mean, just did LIST Command and I didnt have a scoll bar, but I was able to rol the mouse up and see all past history Quote
nestly Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 You're both right. Either way brings the Text Window to the top, but I agree with Terminator and Hulk, LIST is an unnecessary step if what you're trying to view is not the properties of the objects, but the previous command history. Quote
