clipper392 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 When I plot or run print of a drawing the view port frame is in the display and prints out with the drawing. How do I release this frame from display so it will not print? Quote
nestly Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Easiest solution is probably to put the viewport(s) on a non-plot layer. Quote
tzframpton Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I'll back nestly up. Any Viewport on a non-plot layer, everything inside the Viewport still plots, only the Viewport Frame doesn't. Quote
clipper392 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 I have tried turning off the viewport plot layer as suggested but the frame still prints in hardcopy and PDF files. No sure what I am doing wrong. I have attached a couple of screen shots. Thanks for any help you can offer. Plot Viewport.pdf Quote
SLW210 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Is the viewport actually assigned to the viewport layer? Quote
clipper392 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Posted February 27, 2012 That was it - I didn't have it assigned to the plot layer. I haven't worked with AutoCAD in a long while keep forgetting these things. Thanks to all for the suggestions. Quote
nestly Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Is the viewport actually assigned to the viewport layer? That seems likely, because what seems to be the viewport, isn't red **edit* Glad you got it sorted out Quote
