resullins Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Forgive my ignorance, I never had to look for this function when I used 2010, and I'm on 2012 now! I've created a block that uses a solid hatch acting like a wipeout field. In 2012, you can change the system variable TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY to and it will make this hatch transparent. However, apparently that sysvar doesn't exist in 2010... Any ideas? I don't want my other guy to have to look at these big white spots, on top of which he has to edit text! Quote
nestly Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 TRANSPARENCYDISPLAY is the same as the Transparency button on the status bar, and AFAIK, it was a new feature in 2011 Quote
resullins Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 Thank you! I almost never use that thing! I'm a keyboard-commands-only-unless-totally-necessary girl! Quote
nestly Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Are you concerned about the wipeout/hatch covering the text because Draw Order is flakey? When I use solid hatches for wipeouts, I put them on their own layer, perhaps that could be an alternative to toggling transparency? Quote
resullins Posted March 12, 2012 Author Posted March 12, 2012 No, the draw order for the text is in a block, so it doesn't flake on me. The "wipeout" hatch is there to cover a line behind the whole block. We haven't had a problem with that yet! Quote
BIGAL Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Play with Z's as well lline at 0 wipeout at 2 text at 3 this will work on 2010. Quote
