Hello: I have a user that is having issues with Autocad crashing several times a day.

I wanted to know if there's a way to verify that it's actually crashing as they are saying?

Thanks,

Calling Dr Watson to the Emergency Room... STAT

What Operating System? I never used it for diagnostics myself, but I think if it's running, each application crash will be logged in drwtsn32.log

Theyr'e using window 7 with autocad 2009 mechanical.

Looking at it remotely and trying to replicate is a good idea. I'm also googling the windows event log and dr. watson to learn more......

Thanks for the info....and help!!!

I saw AutoCAD2006 under your name and guessed it may have been an older OS... I don't think DrWatson is in Win7

We have one pc at moment out of 8 that is exhibiting crashes quite often, all are identical model as we are about to update the operator is living with it do things like CHKDSK, reload software pain in the !#$% it can take a long time to find a faulty memory chip.

True trouble shoot story Brand new Pc turns on ok next day, pc no turn on, send back to dealer (me) retrys 20+ times works ok send back couple of days ok then No work again, send back to (me) 20+ ok. Answer office in portable building on a hot day turn on Air conditioning first in morning, not enough electricity supply power so Pc no start. Start pc then aircon on is ok took a while to find. Ps updated building power supply.
