jrn Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Anyone else annoyed by the time spend waiting while acad automatically detects hatch boundary? - usually a boundary of some sort, thats completely useless anyway. I'm seeking full control and want to select the boundaries myself:x and hope some of you can tell how to switch off or avoid this automatic process of bounday detection that usually follows "h" ↵ ( "hatch" ↵ or "bhatch" ↵ ). Please help. Quote
Pablo Ferral Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 When hatching use 'Select object' rather than 'Pick point' - Making sure that what you select is a closed polyline. If you need to use 'Pick Point', first create a selection set first to limit what AutoCAD is working with, otherwise it will try and analyse the whole drawing - which could take some time Quote
jrn Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Yes, thats exactly what I want, thanks. But acad automatically starts detecting boundaries right after entering the command and thats what I find so annoying. If theres a way to avoid this automatic process I would be so happy - and more productive Quote
Glen1980 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Try HPQUICKPREVIEW then off. That way AutoCAD won't attempt to hatch everything you put your mouse over. Quote
