giraffeking Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Hi everyone! I'm super new, especially to Civil3d..though I have used Mechanical 2010 for a while now, but nothing incredibly intricate or detailed. I know just enough to get me into trouble. So i'm at a new workplace where we do a lot of Exploration Locations with profiles of borings and soil makeup..I've got a bit of the workflow down but I'm not used to using all the different paper spaces vs. model space and well as the viewports to get separate views of the same data. Do each of the layout taps (i'm not quite sure i'm using the right terminology). Can someone explain/point me in the right direction of a decent walkthrough (i'm sure there are many on here, sorry for the redundant post...) I'm a GIS guy that has a small working knowledge of AutoCAD and I'm being thrown into Civil3d pretty quickly..oh well, guess hands on is the best way to get it! Quote
ReMark Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 The correct terminology would be "tabs". You can get a quick overview of paper space and utilizing a viewport right here at CADTutor in the Tutorials section. See Beyond the Basics > Paper Space Exercise. Quote
