spur Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Hi, I have searched the web looking for a tutorial that shows arcs being used to create objects such as toilets, wash basins etc. Does anyone know where I can find such a tutorial that shows arc or circles being used in a real world situation? Thank you. Quote
Blackfish Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 If you are looking for free bathroom blocks 2D or 3D just go to manufacturers' website and search for Technical Support & "CAD drawings" and don't waist your precious time to break the open door. However if you want to practice using arcs and circles... just draw them as they should look in real size 1:1 in model space. Basic tutorials: http://www.cadblog.net/autocad-for-dummies-how-to-draw-a-arc-part-1.htm http://www.cadblog.net/autocad-for-dummies-how-to-draw-a-circle.htm and many many more just use google Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Unless you design toilets and wash basins why waste your time when there are so many 2D and 3D blocks for free at manufacturer websites or other CAD help sites like the CADforum or the Cad Block Exchange Network? Be more efficient and more productive by taking advantage of what is out there already. Quote
spur Posted June 9, 2012 Author Posted June 9, 2012 Hi Remark, Blackfish, Thank you for the replies, I want to view the use of arcs/circles being used on objects being drafted. I will take a look at the links from Blackfish, I have seen tutorials on you tube that show arcs/circles being drawn but not in a real world situation as yet. Thanks again. Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Forget the videos and just practice on your own. The CIRCLE command has a limited number of options. The ARC command has several variations. Practice. Quote
