mrharris78 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Anybody aware of how you might 'Propulate' Attributed Values in the active drawing? Cheers, H Quote
ReMark Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Could that be "populate"? Maybe through the use of the Data Extraction feature or via an Excel spreadsheet? Quote
Dadgad Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 PROPULATE it is. Just exploring it now. Quote
Dadgad Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 No doubt Lee Mac can help you, as we are here scratching our heads. I had never heard of that one before, and ReMark rarely draws a blank gaze, at least as regards forum stuff. http://www.lee-mac.com/macatt.html Thanks Lee! Quote
edwinprakoso Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 This is the propulate tutorial from Jimmy Bergmark http://blog.jtbworld.com/2010/05/propulate-tutorial-for-dwg-properties.html Quote
mrharris78 Posted September 20, 2012 Author Posted September 20, 2012 Thanks for your replies. A very little known command it seems.. Our client is asking for DWG Metadata. Hence, 'drawing properties' information, which in itself is easy enough to access by right clicking the DWG file. However, this only gives limited information and any additional details require custom properties (on the custom tab). 'Propulate' and Drawing properties does not seem to support DIESEL, so maybe VBA is the way forward to access attribute info. I have purchased and used JTB's programs before, however, 'DWGTIP' and 'DWG COLUMNS' require administrator privileges which I do not have. I will keep diggin' Harris Quote
