humpo Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Hi All first time poster so be gentle I have been using CAD for a while for space planning since LT 2007 and never had an issue with dimensions. started a new job where i am now using autoCAD 2013 LT. I have opened a drawing for a potential new site and its confusing me (its says it was not saved in autoCAD) there are dimensions already on the drawing. For instance there is a dimension for a door opening and 2 jibs at 890mm. when i do a dimension on the same doorway it say 8.9 [226.06]. what do i need to adjust to to get it to read 890? sorry if its a really simple answer:cry: cheers Quote
MSasu Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 its says it was not saved in autoCAD Don't need to worry over that - the drawing wad made/edited with an AutoCAD clone/equivalent. it say 8.9 [226.06]. what do i need to adjust to to get it to read 890? That should be fixed in Dimension Style (DIMSTYLE command); select to edit current style and in Primary Units tab --> Measurement Scale --> Scale factor write 1 (seems to be 0.01 now). But please be aware that this will affect all dimensions with that style. A safer alternative will be to create a new style for 1:1 dimensions if you want to have 1:100 too. Also, welcome to the Forum! Quote

MSasu Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Sorry, but I’m afraid I’m just a regular AutoCAD user. It just happens to be one of the many that know the solution for your issue and the first to answer. Anyway, you are entirely welcome! Quote
