I have come across a problem in AutoCAD 2006. when modeling particularly when working with objects created in other software (solid works etc) I get a message saying command in process when I try to save. I have to close the drawing to be able to save it. any suggestions or anyone had anything similar?

Type SAVE and see if you can save it as another name.
Save is an older command, that must be typed on the command line. Think of it as a "Save Copy As" command.

Just hit the "X" to close then it should ask you to save. The "X" close forces the command active to end. But if it doesn't ..... we tried!
