humpo Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Me again trying to hatch areas on a floor plan to denote team boundaries/landlord areas/unused floorpsace areas. After i draw a polyline around the area i want to hatch, and start to use the hatch option, it either 1) tells me there is more than 10000 boundary objects selected (there is not) 2) it will start to colour objects outside of the polyline when i click inside the polyline. never seen this before whats am i doing wrong? ReMark Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) What is the current value of HPOBJWARNING set to? I'm guessing that HPQUICKPREVIEW is enabled. Is that right? Edited February 5, 2013 by ReMark Quote
humpo Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 ReMark you are correct HPQUICKPREVIEW = On HPOBJWARNING = 10000 should i change these values?? Quote
ReMark Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 I was only inquiring as to what the current settings were that's all. The values are typed in at the command line after invoking the system variable. At this point I am not sure if changing either or both will fix your problems but it is worth trying I suppose. Quote
SLW210 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Sounds like their are gaps in the boundaries. Have you tried HPGAPTOL? HPGAPTOL Treats a set of objects that almost enclose an area as a closed hatch boundary. The default value, 0, specifies that the objects enclose the area, with no gaps. Enter a value, in drawing units, from 0 to 5000 to set the maximum size of gaps that can be ignored when the objects serve as a hatch boundary. Quote
