jasons520
Hi everyone, Im having a small problem with isometric drawings within autocad lt 2014. Whilst they are all good showing to clients, it is hard to get measurements off them as many lines dont line up etc etc. What i would like to know, is if there is a way to flatten these isometric drawings onto a single 2d drawing in the model space? Any help would be appreciated, Cheers, Jason
Dana W
You can't flatten anything in LT, the command doesn't exist, especially an isometric drawing. It is already 2D anyway. Were the objects drawn in an isometric view? If so, and the object is measured (distance) in that same view, then they should measure true. After all, that is part of the point of an isometric drawing as opposed to 3D. See second image, drawn in soutwest ISO. Dimensions do not work easily in isometric, but they at least should be accurate. It is however, still a 2D drawing. Can you post a drawing so we will have an idea what we are wondering about? ReMark
Sounds to me like the OP created isometric sketches without regard to dimensions.
SLW210
If you would post a drawing, we may be able to determine what you are working with and perhaps provide a solution.
