neondeon298
Hi its me again, So today my company tested out using a 3D laser scanner. It collected thousands of points. I have uploaded them into a drawing via .igs import and it looks cool, but now I want to make surfaces between the points. Any ideas? Autocad 2018 btw
ReMark
You will need to research the topic "Surface creation from a point cloud". I know it can be done using Civil 3D and Map 3D. I'm not sure what the procedure is using plain AutoCAD.
BIGAL
The company that supplied the scanner I would have thought would have access also to some software to convert to say 3dfaces. We had a old underground drain scanned and talking to the company that did it they referred to a number of software options for playing with the point cloud. It was up to us to do further analysis or pay them above what we asked for which was to get 3d points on the base of the drain.
