gotchy
Hello, I have just been given a bunch of drawings to update and it looks to me like the person who made these drawings didn't know how to display hidden lines, in that all the holes in the drawings are represented with solid lines. I would like to know if there is a method by which I can change the solid lines to dotted lines by clicking on them, rather than re-drawing them all. I have to do this in AutoCAD 2000, if it matters at all. Heck of a way to "update", isn't it? Thanking you is, Andrew
CyberAngel
Rather than redrawing every hidden line, you could put them on a separate layer and assign the proper linetype to the layer. Less practical is changing the linetype property for each line--that makes them harder to manipulate, especially if you don't have the Select Similar command (which came out in 2011, it says here).
