boxel0
Hi Guys, I have been asked to model out the ground for a site we recently scanned, and I have no idea where to start: The area has a road going through it, with two hills either side, I specialise in modelling existing pipework but have never touched topo Any ideas? 43st
Is the scan data a point cloud? I'd create a grid array of the required area, connect select point cloud dots along the grid columns, polyline, and then loft.
BIGAL
Not sure plant3d will do a TIN Triangulated Irregular Network. CIV3D is what is needed. We use lidar a lot and export it out of our GIS as 3dfaces so then make a surface. Do you want contours etc ? If you search here there is a free surface and contour lisp. This is by YMG and there may be a newer version. TriangV0.5.9.LSP
