Hi everybody,

i've got (again) a little problem with autoCAD 2007... when i run a script that i have written, with some files, this message error appears:

INTERNAL ERROR: UNDOCMD 3

it happens when i use the cdorder cmd: i reorganize some objects by handle.

if you know the reason why this message appears, it's interested me!!!:D

it's maybe a problem of memory or something like this because i've reorganize my script and i've reduced my selection of object in the cdorder and it seems to work well...

but it's just a "sensation"!!!!

  • 2 years later...

BUMP a almost 3 year old thread !!

I did search but nothing on that.

I run autocad 2008 on 2 machine (one is the 64bits and the other 32), and BOTH machine on the same file pop out this error.

INTERNAL ERROR : UNDOCMD 2.

My 64bits version is brand new, first file I opened with it, is my ''error file''.

What it means ???

I know that my file start with cad 2000i and it makes 8 megs...

Thanks

Someone on the AutoDesk Discussion forum for AutoCAD suggested the following.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\computer name\Local Settings\Temp folder. Find and delete the following file: undo.ac$.

I would suggest that before doing this you exit AutoCAD first.

I saw this, he says the file was too big( +/- 1gig), but one of my cad version is just been installed...

Cost nothing to try thanks!!

And I forgot to tell that its happen only when I do some OVERKILL cmd.

Did you try an AUDIT on the drawing?

Yes,

I did a lot of thing after reading some '' slow cad'' post.

-AUDIT

-PURGE

-LAYDEL

-FILTER

-TREEDEPTH (-2520)

-SORTENTS (0)

-PROXYGRAPHICS (0)

and

-OVERKILL

Yes, my file was toooooo slow and I use it in alot of xref.

Thanks

Re: slooooow dwg. Did you edit Scalelist?

I cannot account for the cause of the problem re: UNDOCMD 2.

I don't suppose you tried an uninstall/reinstall by any chance?

Have you kept current with updates/service packs as well?

What are your system specs?

One computer is my office computer, I cant touch it.

The other is my personal computer, and since this error, I installed a 2008 version 64 bits with updates to try if I have the same error. I got my answer, yes.

So, I maybe thing is something in my .dwg, but I have to understant the error before finding the problem.

At my school, I can get a free version 2010, I'll try it this week if I cant find the problem.

Office computer : intel core 2 6300 @ 1.83ghz - 3gig ddr2 - ATI hd2400xt - raptor hdd - 2008 autocad 32 bits - windows xp costumized by the compagny.

personal : intel qaud 9300 - 4 gig ddr3 - ATI hd4850 - windows xp 64 bits - autocad 2008 64 bits

I dont think the pc is the problem here.

Right now, I'm doing part-by-part overkill, I'll see if it's a part of my drawing or something else.

So now, it appears that the error message popout ramdomly.

Thanks for your help!!

I'm running 2010. I have access to 2009 as well. Would you be willing to email me a copy of the file? I can open it on my system, which is working just fine, and see if the error pops up.

Wow, nice, thank you!!

But, it's alright now. I got my 2010 version.

The ''reducing file size work'' differences (2010 VS 2008 ) :

-AUDIT : 2008> 0 error fixed 0 deleted. 2010> 19 error fixed 0 deleted

- OVERKILL : 2008> crash randomly. 2010> complete with sucess.

- 2008 scalelist, ?? witch scale list.... 2010> reset my scalelist.

- 2010 purge command's more complete.

Plus 2010 use all my cpu.

I'll propose to my boos to buy some 2010 licenses. :glare:
