yeminime
I am wondering if anyone has any insight into this: I would like to group text fields into associations where all of the fields will change if any of them are edited. For example, if I have the three fields which all say "Hello" and change any of the them, I would like the rest to auto update without performing a find and replace. The next step which would be key in my process would be to be able to make such associations across multiple files. Thank you in advance for any assistance! SLW210
Try a search on CADTutor, seems this has been asked before. You could try asking to have a Moderator move this to the LISP section.
Strix
is this starting to sound like college homework then?
yeminime
Hey, this isn't homework at all. I don't even think this is possible. I am drawing a system which shows a single piece of equipment on various drawings - elevation, connection, power, network, etc and I want to make sure that piece of equipment always has the same title. Some function which could "watch" for a change would be very useful. It might have to be built into a sheet set...I don't know exactly what would have to be done for this to work. smorales02
I think a LISP would definetly have to be used. What is wrong with Find and replace?? Its a fairly quick way of doing this task?
