spp8r
Does anyone know where I can buy structural engineering/architectural details. Looking to build a library of standard details.

BARSO
spp8r, sorry but the www.cbean.net is of no help at all. It does not have Architectural details to place on construction drawings for building permit. I'm looking for the same and can't find a good reliable Web site that sell them updated to the 2010 California Building code. If you find something let me know. Thanks Barso
tzframpton
Architectural details (or any details for that matter) for building permit need to be drawn according to code and specifications. With some things you can use general details but most of the time you'll have to draw them specifically for the job.
BARSO
That's true, architectural details needs to be drawn per local code and specs. However certain web sites sell Standard (or Typical) Library of CAD architectural details claiming they comply with CA Building code2008 (for instance www.autocaddetails.net) The problem is that they don't let me see the details before I purchase the CD. Even the contact email don't work and the phone is an answer machine... something fishy? Who knows, I just want to see before ot buy. tzframpton
Understandable. Why can't you just draw them up?
