DJB
I am trying to open a drawing and I get an error,"Drawing file is not valid" I have a few ideas of what the problem could be, but can anyone tell me exactly what the problem is please? MOMOwheeler
Was that file last saved in a newer version than the version you are trying to open it with?
DJB
I'm not sure, I recieved the drawing from a client. I wouldn't have thought so as I'm running 2008. I'll find out though, cheers for the help!
rkmcswain
Did you receive the drawing via email? If so, was it in a ZIP file? If not, then request that they ZIP the drawing before emailing next time. BTW: 2008 will open a 2007 version drawing (which is the latest DWG version). Can 2008 talk to 2009? ie: If his customer created the file in '09 (without a down save), can his '08 open an '09 file?
