oZafin
Hello Iam really newbie with Inventor 11 and learning work with belt joint. I like to put belt on those two wheels, see attached pic. I get only that kind of error message: "Joint "n°1 :Belt (Rulla:1, Rulla:2)" : no degree of freedom in the model. Joint will be deactivated." Could somebody explain what I do wrong ? JD Mather
Look at the top of your browser under Grounded and you will see that none of your parts have any degrees of freedom. You need to add Revolution joints to the two wheels (Rulla?).
oZafin
Now I "convert assembly constraints" and get wheels ungrounded and two spatial joints. Is that correct now? I could now do belt joint ok but, when I run simulation nothing happens, no error message. I add torgue to leftside wheel (Rulla1) and get that kind of error message "In joint "n°3 :Belt (Rulla:1, Rulla:2)" distance between centers must be fixed." What is problem now? Hoozin
Are the wheels constrained to the axles?
oZafin
Yes, only aligned insert.
Hoozin
Yes, only aligned insert. I'm sorry, I misunderstood that previous statement. Though the error now confuses me more.
oZafin
Now I get it work. Problem is spatial joints, I change it to revolution joints and it works now.
