WCCSAM
I am currently using Autocad 2008. I am currently using the "DWG To PDF.pc3" plotter in Autocad to plot multiple layout tabs to pdf's. It works really good but the file size it is creating is way too large. The pdf's are as big as 5.0mb. Is there any way to reduce this file size....or this there an alternate way to print layout tabs to individual pdfs. ?

ReMark
You could give AutoCAD to PDF Converter 2009 a try. It's shareware though ($83 U.S. to buy). I'd download it and test it on a drawing file that you have converted through AutoCAD directly and compare file sizes. http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Multimedia_and_Graphics/Misc__Graphics_Tools/AutoCAD_to_PDF_Converter_2009.html
ReMark
There's PDF Compress which is free. Although this adds one step to the overall process. Too bad AutoDesk didn't see fit to include file compression as part of the process of going from dwg to pdf. http://www.freesoft411.com/freeware/reduce-pdf-size.html
ReMark
While this doesn't help you (sorry) users of AutoCAD 2009 can get a copy of DWG to PDF Bonus Pack.pc3 if they are on subscription. It purports to reduce pdf file size. Why doesn't AutoDesk make this option available to all product users?
chelsea1307
just found this out if you set PUBLISHCOLLATE to 0 you will publish individual pdfs instead of one big pdf. It will keep individual file size down but you will have multiple files instead of one. And to switch back set it to 1 (autocads default) and you will get one pdf instead of multiple
