JimBob
Is there anyway I can select text in AutoCAD 09 LT and export it to a txt or xls file? Or any type of file I can edit? Thanks for your time.
Alex_AW
Copypaste ?
JimBob
I tried that first. In xls format it pastes as a drawing with the text in it and it won't even paste into a txt file.
dbroada
might be tricky. If its one piece of text you can copy paste using the text editor. If its more than that I'm afraid your best bet would be to use LISP or VBA, which is not supported by AutoCAD LT.
Alex_AW
You should start the text editing in the drawing by double clicking on the text object, select all and copy the text. It should work with multiline texts. For importing tables usually special routines are used but I'm afraid they will not work under LT. Dave is faster then me :-)

JimBob
Each item of text is a different object so the text editor will take too long. Oh well thanks anyway.
