ReMark
I think you first need to pick up a good book such as the Pressure Vessel Design Manual. See: http://www.amazon.com/Pressure-Vessel-Design-Manual-Third/dp/0750677406
ReMark
Here's another candidate for your future library; the Pressure Vessel Handbook. http://www.techstreet.com/cgi-bin/detail?product_id=1564871&sid=goog&gclid=CMT8t_uB1ZgCFRJexwodCkDIsw
ReMark
This is the best I can come up with at the moment. It is a link to the 10th edition of the 1995 handbook entitled "Advanced Pressure Vessel" written by Eugene F. Megyesy. The handbook was meant to be used with a program developed by Computer Engineering, Inc. http://www.computereng.com/downloads/manuals/apv/apv_manual.pdf I'm not sure how useful the information will be without the program. Most pressure vessel designers have a college degree (chemical, civil or structural) that included some specialized coursework. They also probably started out working in a company under the watchful eyes of a senior designer. This isn't something you just go out and teach yourself to do overnight. ReMark
OK...here's a two day course. Not sure if an attendee has to be "in the field" or if just anyone can take it. http://www.peice.com/coursedetails.aspx?course=1480
ReMark
Same company but this one is a three day course. http://www.peice.com/coursedetails.aspx?course=1288
