tburke
In the block create the 4 lines of the box all separated. Constrain them using the constraints pallet so that the horizontal lines are horizontal and vertical vertical. constrain the endpoints together after fixing one endpoint using the lock constraint to 0,0. set a parameter point on the diagonal point from zero zero. create a move action at that parameter point. I think that's about it. save and it should work properly unless I'm missing something. It worked for me.
tdunn_3
I am trying to stretch my block of a section from the quarter corner but I need to be able to have different distance multipliers for the x and y values. This is my first attempt at creating a dynamic block so I am sure I am missing something obvious. I have only started working with the east quarter corner https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1ATOff4-14hNVZBSlprSGI4ek0

designerstuart
hi all - i don't think this post has been properly answered - so forgive me for digging up old info! I am looking to do what the OP asked - create a dynamic block where all 4 corners are stretch points but the polyline is always kept rectangular. I have been trying to do this with XY parameters, but just cannot get my head around how the placement of the red cross (reference point?) affects the action, and how actions overlap. I have got as far as understanding how to make it work using only one grip, but would love some advice as to how to make the rest work. I'd happily attach it but it's 2.4Mb and I am unsure why! Thanks
SLW210
You should be able to use constraints to do this. I will try to make an example when I get a few minutes.

I tried following post 21 above, but found it only did the same thing as the first posted solutions - one base point corner grip, and one stretch corner grip. iconeo
This was possible from post 19. You just needed to turn on all 4 grips. stretch example.dwg
