Cannibal Smurf
Hi, I'm working on a fire egress project and rather than inserting block after block and rotating them for bends I thought it would be easier to create a custom linetype using the block. I need it to retain the colours and possibly work in Arc's and Circles would be good. I'll attach the block I use. Theabunai
Cann you could try this Make the arrow LEft to right Create a block select the middle of the arrow for the pick point... save as arrow Then Type "div" select the line type "block" type the name of the block (arrow) align block with object = Y number of segments = (however amount of arrows you want on the line) 10 hit enter
Cannibal Smurf
Kewl, will keep this in mind if I can't get exactly what I want. However I think it would be much easier if I had a linetype that just left a trail of arrows instead of a solid, dashed, hidden etc linetype. Theabunai
If you want the arrow to be a set linetype... you will need to do 2 steps.. 1. make the arrow once again left to right type mkshape follow the prompts save as arrow then type mkltype follow the command prompts... the key is saving it in the right folders or remembering where you saved them Then go to the layer linetype then look for your newly created linetype should be all good to go If you need something more detailed i'll be happy to go step by step
GIB39
Im after creating my own custom complex line type as well. I can create the shape file but when it cames to typing mkltype I get confused. Please can you run through the steps one by one. Im after a zig zag line type made from a block or a section of a line already drawn.
