rbeldua Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 HI to all cadtutor members and admin...here is the situation, my boss gave me a file which shows autocad drawing he told to open it coz he has no luck on opening the file, i too had the problem, cant open it...showing autocad message (Drawing file is not valid). any idea? Tiger Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 It is most likely a file saved in a newer format. The easiest way is to request that whoever saved the file in the first place do a down-save and save to 2007-format before they send it to you. My office always saves to 2004-version for this reason. There are also a few programs that can open any DWG-format and save down - Trueview I think Autodesk's program is called, but there are others.
