fba_sen57
Hi guys... I am trying to create a linetype with an arrow head. The arrowhead is simply from text " Descriptive text: --- Enter linetype pattern (on next line): A,0.5,[" But I got an error stating "Invalid number or bad continuation." Please anyone. Help or any either way to create that particular linetype. Appreciate greatly. Fadzil

ReMark
Why are you using text?
ReMark
Like this? Constructed using the MKLTYPE command found in Express Tools. Not sure if this command was part of Express Tools for AutoCAD 2004/2005.
NBC
I used the example given the OP's original post, and used the following in .lin file, and it worked fine. *Arrow, arrow <|--- A,0.5,["<|",STANDARD,S=0.1,R=0.0,Y=-0.05],0.
fba_sen57
Thanks guys. I am using text as I don't know how to create linetype with arrowhead. I am using AutoCAD 2005. Is there any restriction in this version on creating linetype? Its good to know NBC got it using similar A, statement but why I got "invalid number or bad continuation"

CarlB
You may get a lin file error if the file doesn't end with a blank line...try that..
fba_sen57
Well, I still got that same error eventhough I have added a space -0.1. A, 0.5,[" Any other help??? Fadzil
CarlB
Could you attach your .lin file? The pattern you posted works for me, so maybe something is wrong with your file.
fba_sen57
CarlB, I tried to attached the acadiso.lin file but it is considered as invalid filename. So how now? Fadzil

ronjonp
If you're just embedding characters into a line type give this a try: *removedLink* Need to do update to check for invalid characters
